Ancient World History
This course examines a selection of ancient societies that have helped to develop the social, economic, religious and political systems that have shaped our world. Historical thinking skills, study habits, written and oral communication skills, and research competencies will be developed in the process of this course.
Interest Rate Theory
The interest rate theory class explores the time value of money through an examination of both simple and compound interest. The emphasis will be on solving real-world problems in the fields of economics and finance. Students are required to present to the class and write weekly papers on the impact of a variety of current events.
Portfolio Analysis
The portfolio analysis class provides students with a sound understanding of the concepts and practices associated with investments. Topics include: discussion of investment principles and strategies, financial instruments, the markets and related indices, risk and return, and diversification. Students are required to present to the class and write weekly papers on the impact of a variety of current events.
